How We Care: Safety

We rigorously comply with the Occupational Safety and Health Standards and provisions of MGB Safety Rules and Regulations. We have promulgated a Safety Management Plan (SMP) that will integrate our commitment to safe and healthy working conditions in all aspects of our mining activities.

It is our firm commitment to always maintain a safe and environmentally healthy working condition.

Our Safety Management Plan ensures that:

• All mine surface personnel, staff, supervisors, and division managers shall undergo regular and continuous safety education and training.
• All safety equipment will be serviceable and will be ready for use to allow for immediate and effective response in the event of a workplace emergency.
• We develop and implement control systems and measures that will minimize, if not eliminate, hazards and adverse effects on safety and health.
• Hazards, risks, incidents, or emergency situations in the workplace are communicate openly and efficiently to enable effective decision-making and actions.
• The establishment of emergency clinics manned by qualified and competent health professionals.
• Regular medical services, check-ups, and treatments of personnel as well as extended medical support towards their dependents.
• The overall safety, health, and environmental performance of the organization, as well as its policies, practices, and systems, will be continually reviewed, audited, and improved upon.
