SAFETY ENGINEER

Requirements:
  • Must be licensed Mining Engineer

  • At least 3 -5 years of experience as Safety Engineer

  • Must have completed the prescribed BOSH training

  • Preferably with related experience in mining operations

Job Description:
  • Manage overall site implementation of the Company Safety and Health Program.

  • Formulate and implement safety and health policies, rules and regulations.

  • Conduct risk assessment activities and formulate risk mitigation policies and procedures during project execution and in the day to day working environment.

  • Conduct safety orientation/induction to workers, visitors and etc.

  • Conduct safety audits.

  • Represent the company in all matters pertaining to safety and health issues and perform all related coordination activities.

  • Acts in advisory capacity on all matters pertaining to health and safety to the guidance of the employer and the third parties.

  • Conducts investigation of accidents as member of the Health and Safety Committee and submits his separate report and analysis to the top management.

  • Coordinates health and safety inspection training programs for the team and third parties.

  • Conducts health and safety inspection as member of the committee.

  • Maintains or help in maintenance of an efficient accident record system and coordinates actions taken by third parties to eliminate accident causes.

  • Provide assistance to government agencies in the conduct of health and safety inspection, accident investigation or any related programs.

  • Prepare and submit MGB mandated reports.

SITE NURSE

Requirements:
  • Must be a Registered Nurse

  • Must be flexible, resourceful, diligent, with good moral character and good communication skills.

  • Well versed in documentation

  • Must have the ability to keep confidential information

  • Possesses a sense of urgency and responsibility

Job Description:
  • Provides first-aid treatments and medications for employees as needed.

  • Records patient’s medical information and vital signs.  Maintains all employees medical and other similar records.

  • Assess and determine the health status of the employee and coordination with affiliated hospital for further management.

  • Assess employee’s health examination results and refer to company accredited physician for management; monitor recommendations and follow through until illness is cleared.

  • Drafts, recommends and implements clinic guidelines, policies and procedures.

  • Conducts and maintains regular inventory of medicines and medic al supplies

  • Handles requisition/dispensing of all clinic medicines and medical supplier.

  • Plan and implement programs with Health and Safety Committee designed to improve the overall health of all employees.

  • Creates health and safety awareness among employees.

  • Coordinate with government and non-government agencies such as DOLE, Red Cross, and other regarding health and safety.

FORESTER

Requirements:
  • Graduate of BS Forestry

  • Must be a licensed Forester

  • Minimum of two years working experience in a relevant position

  • Has sufficient knowledge on how to effectively carry out regulatory environmental compliances, afforestation/reforestation programs and ability to lead and manage the work to meet project deadlines, often under difficult circumstances.

Job Description:
  • Monitor contract compliance and results of forestry activities to assure adherence to government regulations.

  • Plan and supervise forestry projects, such as determining the type, number and placement of trees to be planted, managing tree nurseries, thinning forest and monitoring growth of new seedlings.

  • Establish short and long term plans for management of forest lands and resources.

  • Determine methods of cutting and removing timber with minimum waste and environmental damage.

  • Supervise activities of other forestry workers.

  • Perform inspections of forests or forest nursery.

  • Choose and prepare sites for new trees

  • Plan cutting programs and manage timber sales from harvested area as per the tree cutting permit.

  • Monitor forest-cleared areas to ensure that they are reclaimed to their most suitable end use.

  • Map forest area soils and vegetation to estimate the amount of standing timber and future value and growth.
