HMC Extends Aid to PWDs In Host Barangay

As part of its steadfast commitment to inclusive community development, Hallmark Mining Corporation extended vital support to persons with disability (PWDs) in its host community of Brgy. Macambol, distributing essential assistive devices through its Social Development and Management Program (SDMP) — a move aimed at empowering individuals and fostering a more equitable future for all.

Tatay Tillano Artiaga, a 57-year-old resident of Purok Baas in Brgy. Macambol, Mati City, has been living with mobility challenges for the past five years after an illness left him unable to walk. In hopes of regaining some independence, he turned to the community for support in managing his condition. However, even before he could ask for help, support from Hallmark Mining was already on its way to Tatay Tillano.

The company had already set aside a budget of Two Hundred Thousand Pesos (₱200,000) under its 2025 Annual Social Development and Management Program (ASDMP), dedicated to providing assistive devices for PWDs in its host communities. Thanks to this initiative, on July 24, 2025, Tatay Tillano finally received the wheelchair he had long hoped for—along with a modest grocery package to help ease his daily needs.

Alongside Tatay Tillano, four other PWD members of the community were also given assistive devices tailored to their needs, bringing hope and comfort to individuals who have long lived in silence and difficulty. These efforts mark just the beginning, as Hallmark Mining Corporation continues to work tirelessly to reach more persons with disability in its host communities. With every service delivered and every life uplifted, the company reaffirms its commitment to making sure that the needs of PWDs—often overlooked—are finally heard, seen, and met with compassion.
